    Hello Tink, welcome to LB.

You will need to tell us more about what is happening and why.

Did you have loans from these firms?

OK Why is your bank allowing these payments?
The bank should be your first point of call to stop further payments and recover those already take.

What action have you taken so far, local branch visit/ phone call?
Has there been an explanation for refusing the refund.

I can't see that the bank is correct, they must retain records for 6 years after an account is closed and these payments as far as I can see they are not out of time in regard to the Limitation Act 1980.

When did you first become aware of these payments?

My approach would be to make a Formal Complaint to the CEO of the bank concerned.

You can certainly issue that formal complaint which must be fully investigated and responded to within 56 days, if the bank does not resolve the complaint you then complain to the regulators.
